The Motion 5.4.4 update introduced some new things relating to graphics cards, namely the use of Apple's Metal engine rather than OpenGL (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202203) :
New Metal-based processing engine improves playback and accelerates graphics tasks, including rendering, compositing, real-time effects, exporting, and more.
Since this update, I get graphical distortion when clicking File, Edit, View, etc. in the menu bar. The text options that would usually be listed beneath the menu bar usually appear green or magenta and stretched, and some of the distortion persists on-screen until another object (e.g. a window) is moved over it. The distortion also prevents me from clicking on various parts of the Motion interface.
I've reset PRAM/NVRAM, but the issue persists.
Any suggestions on how I might fix this would be greatly appreciated !
