Final Cut Pro X

Access to External volume. "Libraries require Permission".

FCPX ver 10.4.7. Mac Pro. 2016 Catalina 10.5. Files stored on external hard drive

Error message when trying to access libraries "Libraries require read and write permission".

Did the Ctrl-I into the external hard drive, clicked on the padlock, it opened. and check marked ignore

ownership on this volume. It darkened up and the checkmark is in the box.

Problem: After closing the volume and bringing it back its all greyed out and the padlock is closed.

Happens every time when I leave the adjustment. Obviously its not sticking. What am I not doing to make it stick ?
