I have a perfectly good ipad 4 that had the cell phone board taken out by cutting the ribbon cable that connects it to the mother board. This was an accidental event that occurred while replacing the battery. But when I try to restore the ipad via recovery mode with iTunes, the software update gets about 3/4 the way through and then ends with a (-1) error code. The more info button suggests it is a cell phone error. Is there any way to restore this iPad without its cellular capability? I really don't need or want that capability, just the wifi. The cell ribbon cable was then cleanly pulled off of the mother board. There are no shorts on the solder pads which are clean.
