Mac OS X v10.7 Lion

Download Lion from App Store on High Sierra

I purchased Mac OS X Lion to upgrade a 2008 MacBook Pro which currently runs Leopard. I was told at the local Apple Store that I could download that onto a USB stick and install it that way. However, when trying to download it from another MacBook, running High Sierra, I get the following message when clicking the Download button

We could not complete your purchase.

This version of Mac OS X 10.7 cannot be installed on this computer.

Any ideas how to get it so I can install it on the older MacBook?
