Mac OS Photos Importing Live Photos as MOV – Unsupported File Type

I am trying to import photos from my iPhone X (iOS 13.1.3) to my MacBook (macOS Sierra 10.12.6) from a recent trip of mine using Photos v2.0.

Some of the photos cannot be imported and it gives me a "Unsupported File Type" error. It is also listing them as MOV, while they are actually Live Photos – so not sure if the image is getting split with the movie here?

In addition, I am only having trouble with a random select group of Live Photos. There were photos from the same "time period" – meaning I took a multiple photos of the same thing within the span of a few seconds and without changing the settings or even leaving the camera app at all. So why are there some that can be imported and some that cannot if they were taken together?

I have tried adjusting the iPhone > Settings > Photos > Transfer to Mac/PC to Keep Originals. But neither Automatic or Keep Originals work.

Please help! I am completely lost! Thank you!
