MacBook Air

Wi-Fi cycling on and off. Constantly "looking for networks"

Upgraded to Catalina on relatively new MacBook Air (November 2018) and my Wi-Fi still keeps cycling from "looking for networks" and "on" but so often I get hung up when trying to load safari or mail, etc. It is especially irritating when banking or purchasing as I often get a message that the page can't load because it has timed out. I've tried all the fixes from the old thread of 2015, worked with Apple Support and with my internet provider. I have new modems and extenders…. my husband's PC never has this problem. Any help to resolve this will be much appreciated. Thanks.
