Assuming the same names and number of devices and 1 volume is a disk image. The disk image is airdropped from1 mac to another periodically to keep the dmg updated on both macs.

It seems that the disk device in disk utility e.g. disk3s1, especially with the .dmg may change its volume devicename to e.g disk 2s1. Is there a way of identifying the .dmg in an AppleScript without worrying if its device name has changed?

I use the same volumes all the time, tho some/all will be updated. No added partitions or subtracted partitions.
