macOS High Sierra

Why won't my NAS folder connect automatically?

My Lightroom workflow consists of downloading photos to my Mac via an SD Card adapter, storing the RAW files on a NAS (with the catalog stored locally on the Mac), and editing photos that way. It works great, except upon startup. When I boot the Mac and start Lightroom, it never seems to find the folder structure on the NAS (there are little question marks next to each folder). If I navigate to the NAS through the finder and open the parent folder, Lightroom immediately picks up and shows all folders as available. Is there a way to prevent having to open finder each time I open Lightroom? Not that it is a huge hardship but it would be nice to avoid the extra steps.
