Hi I want to know if I purchase Final Cut Pro X I can export the videos as an h.264 .mp4 file then use the free FFMPEG to transcode to desired bitrates (for variable streaming)

Hi I want to know if I purchase Final Cut Pro X I can export the videos as an h.264 .mp4 file

then use the free FFMPEG to transcode to desired bitrates (for variable streaming).

I know Premiere can do this but found the following on the Final Cut Pro official page speaking of MXF which I am assuming is the .mp4?

"All of the Master File destination formats below are available for the MOV container format (for supported source resolutions

and frame rates). All of the formats below are also available for the

MXF container format (with the exception of H.264, HDV, and Uncompressed

10-bit 4:2:2)."
