Using: iMac, MacOS10.15.3, Safari Version 13.0.5 (15608.5.11).
I continually get a new drop down when logging into iCloud.com using Safari. Selecting "Continue with password" results in my password being denied:
When I select "Use a different Apple ID" and use the same Apple ID (also the iCloud ID) I am able to login using the password that was denied.
I recently change the Apple ID and iCloud password. New password works on all devices for all services except on the iMac when logging into icloud.com with Safari. The Safari/Preferences/Passwords table had recorded and kept the old iCloud.com login credentials. However, after successfully logging into iCloud.com with the new password and logging out you are typically asked if you want to update the password for this website. It did not. I had to go into Safari/Preferences/Passwords and delete the old iCloud.com login credentials and manually add the new credentials. Ignoring the new "drop down window" and using the "norm" login boxes works every time. This does not stop the new "drop down window". The work around gets me to iCloud.com. but I would like to stop the new "drop down window".
- Safari: cleared history. Quit.
- Shut down and restart.
- Manually updated Safari/Preferences/Passwords for iCloud.com.
- Keychain: explored and confirmed the new iCloud.com password is current and correct.
