Final Cut Pro X

ProRes RAW and Nikon Z6

There's a lot of confusion around how Z6 users should be processing ProRes RAW footage in FCPX and hoping someone can clarify finally?

On the internet suggestions have been:

  1. Use the Sony S-log3 RAW>Log conversion, Rec709 color processing.
  2. Change Library color processing to Wide Gamut, use no RAW>Log conversion and just use color correction tools to process footage.

Also would like to know, if your final output is Rec709, do you change the color processing mode? Do you need to use the HDR Tools effect on RAW footage has suggested by the FCPX documentation?

Thanks in advance.
