macOS Catalina

Trying to load and install Catalina, now my MacBook won’t boot and displays no hard drive in disk utility

I’m quite desperate right now. I’ve downloaded Catalina and wanted to install it yesterday evening. After the download and installation my MacBook Pro (Retina 2012 15inch) rebooted. But then it was only showing a blinking question mark inside a folder icon.

I’ve restarted pressing CMD+R and wanted to select my drive as the correct start up drive but it wasn’t shown. I’ve then opened disk utility to check for the SSD but it only displayed the standard drive0 with the OS X base system. No indication of my hard disk.

How is that possible? Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I’d be super grateful!

Best regards
