OS X El Capitan

OS X El Capitan, iPhone XS Max and Photos Application – Not Showing Videos

Hello, I have an early 2009 Mac Pro running the following:

  • OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 (I am unable to update any further)
  • 2 x 2.26Ghz Quad-core
  • 24 BG 1066 MHz memory
  • 3 x 2 TB drives

I also have an iPhone XS Mac running the latest OS.

After I take photos and videos, I plug into the macpro and open Photos. When Photos opens this is the view I see in the window (Screen 1 image). Almost 100% of videos do not show an image/icon.

I'll select all "videos" and try to import. This is what I see after import (Screen 2 image).

Videos are not showing up in Photos and I receive an error message after "import". (Screen 3 image)

I am currently recording video at 1080 at 60fps on the iPhone and have been for a long time. Not sure what is causing the problems the last few months.

Hoping to fix so I can properly backup my videos and photos to my computer.

Thank you for your help!
