Using iPad

How can I keep Safari and other apps from interfering with YouTube streaming?

I recently got my iPad, and I really enjoy using it. I use it a lot during my workday, and my job requires I stream music from YouTube while I work. Often, when I am on Safari, or using another app, an ad or other video will abruptly pause my streaming, and sometimes even replace my stream.

To be clear, I am not talking about ads being served by YouTube.

I am something of a noob to IOS, but not to computers. Most of my experience, however, has been with Windows and Android. If I was on one of these platforms, I would know how to manage app permissions to control behavior.

So my question is, how can I keep other apps, ads etc., from interfering with my streaming?
