Not sure where to post this, but since it is happening on my wife's iPhone, I'll try here.
This is related to family sharing. For many years, all of my family members have using my Apple ID to log into the iTunes store on their iPhones. After investigating the family sharing, I decided to get my wife to stop using my id and just user her iCloud (Apple ID) for everything on her iPhone. After we did that, most apps continued to work. But some apps like Spotify, Instagram, and a couple others gave an error when trying to open them. Can't remember the exact error, but something like "This app can no longer be used by this user". Then a link to the App store, which takes you to the app to download it. If I re-download it, it still gives me the error. I have to remove the app from the phone, then re-download it. That fixes the issue. I would like to know why this is? It's a real hassle. We are all part of the same family and we have family sharing. All these apps are family shared. All these apps are free, but why would we need to reinstall them? I would love to ween my two kids off of my ID for iTunes, but if this happens, it's going to be more hassle than it's worth. Any ideas?
