Transposition: How To Use?

Hello all, I recently came across transpose which is the best alternative to the pitch shifter plugin. What I'm looking for, however, is help on how to use it.

I have two questions.

  1. How could I use the transposition automation to create a smooth angle to -4 transpose on the right, instead of having it on 0 transpose, then abruptly go to -4 transpose?Transposition: How To Use?
  2. How can I get my audio track to work with Transpose from the Global Track section? The audio track works well if transpose is adjusted from the region box, but the audio file does not change when used with the global track and automation. The purpose is that I want to change the pitch of the melody towards the end. Any help with this would be awesome. Thank you.

Also I should mention that transpose did work with a midi file, but I toggled no transpose because I don’t want to adjust that.
