Macbook Air 13´´ 2013 doesn't charge

A year or so ago I spilled water over the left side of the keyboard of my macbook air, I turned it off and let it dry for a while. After maybe a week had passed I tried turning it on and something was wrong, I can't really remember exactly what was happening though.

A few months ago I bought a new battery for the macbook in hope that it would be the solution. When I had installed the new battery it worked flawlessly, but only when the charger was plugged in. I quickly realized that the battery wasn't charging. The computer recognized the charger as a power source but the battery didn't charge.

Do you think the logic board is messed up or could I get away with replacing the I/O board?

Maybe I should mention that the USB next to the charging port works just fine.
