I work for an airline, and use the iPad 6th Generation with WiFI+Cellular (model A1954) on board the aircrafts. In order to get approval from the Authorities to use a specific function (Airport Moving Map), the regulations require us to demonstrate that the GPS receiver has at least 12 channels. I am quite sure that the hardware is compliant, but I need to document it. Can somebody assist me to find an official answer?
I have tried to get this information from the normal Apple channels with no luck, and I've also been completely unable to know who is the vendor for that hardware part of the iPad.
