iPhone Hardware

battery replacement.

Have iPhone SE and today it collapsed and died from more than 50% power to unexpected shutdown over 30 mins waiting for a bus. Powered back up with 7% left but looks like needs new battery. Less than 2 years old but on checking serial number is apparently out of warranty. All info I can find points towards £49 charge for Apple to replace. I’m shocked! In EU should be a minimum of 2 year warranty but Apple seem to state only 1 for battery! If that was a user serviceable part ok but it certainly is not in this product. Does anyone have any advice here? Best regards. J
