Using iPad

Slow iTunes File Transfer (Windows to iPad Pro)

Using a USB 3.1 gen 2 cable connected to Thunderbolt port on PC I am still experiencing excessively slow transfer speeds using iTunes file transfer to my iPad Pro 3rd gen. I typically transfer media of about 1-2 GB, 2-3 files at a time and I am getting nowhere near the theoretical 10Gbps max (not even 1Gbps) and I can’t come up with a reason why. Additionally, iPad is running iPad OS 13.2.2 and iTunes is up to date.

Shouldn't I be seeing real world transfer speeds of at least 100MBps? Am I misunderstanding or doing something wrong? Google searches on this topic have yielded few answers, please help.
